Vitronics Soltec Centurion Oven Interface In DPC 7.1

Tray Group Handling Added To DPC 6.4

With release 6.4 of MVP's Dynamic Process Control (DPC) product, customers using tray towers on their placement machines can safely manage tray groups (multiple discrete trays loaded with same part number) both in terms of requesting material to be delivered and verifying material when it is loaded. This capability helps reduce the number of tray replenishments required for higher usage components supplied in trays, helping production run more efficiently.

Next generation MVP AOI support has been added to MVP's Dynamic Process Control (DPC) product with release 6.2, which ensures the AOI specific DPC Lite variant can run on CentOS6 & 7 platforms. At the same time, additional microelectronics related metrics have been added to Enterprise Manager's "Defect Analyst" tool and "AOI Reports". This ensures customers can continue to take advantage of DPC's best-in-class inspection data gathering & performance tuning, regardless of application & even in environments with a mix of older & newer MVP AOI systems.
Streamlined Graphical Analysis In DPC 6.1

At the same time, Line Control Manager now offers several new factory level and line level graphical "dashboard" objects for intuitive production performance appraisal purposes. Bare PCB Management Via DPC 5.9

As of release 5.9, MVP's leading edge MES solution DPC has been expanded to enable bare PCB management within SMT assembly environments. Production lines can now issue bare PCB pick requests to stores areas based upon their production schedules via Material Reservation Manager, at which point Setup Manager ensures the correct PCBs are picked and then delivered by guiding personnel using portable DPC terminals. In this way, not only does DPC ensure on-time delivery of SMT components in reels and trays before changeovers occur - but also the bare PCBs that are to be populated.

2D MAT-Label Support Added To DPC 5.7

2D MAT-Label support has been added to DPC so that any SMT material complying with this industry labelling standard can be scanned into portable DPC terminals for material transaction processes (e.g. picking material, delivering material, loading material onto lines, etc). For customers who use this standard, this ensures DPC can provide cradle-to-grave material traceability using the labels applied by your suppliers.

Automated Work Orders In DPC 5.4

As of release 5.3 of DPC, it is now possible for customers without scheduling systems capable of exporting work orders into DPC in advance to segregate production batches into "auto-created" work orders as changeovers occur. This enables such users to take advantage of work order post-analysis, even though the schedule was not known beforehand.

DPC Launches Material Reservation Manager With DPC 4.3

MVP is proud to announce the launch of Material Reservation Manager (MRM) with the release of DPC 4.3. MRM enables customers to analyse current material levels in order to issue automated material pick lists for SMT production lines in advance of changeovers, or to adjust their build schedule in instances where MRM identifies that a material outage will occur if a planned changeover takes place. This ensures that material is always delivered to the lines in time for upcoming changeovers and prevents expensive, pointless changeovers taking place only for a stock out situation to occur. By leveraging the data captured by DPC’s Setup Manager module for material control and WIP Manager module for work order tracking, MRM further enhances DPC’s positive impact on your bottom line.

DPC Launches Setup Manager

MVP is pleased to anounce the launch of Setup Manager with the release of DPC 2.0. Often the biggest single source of rework is incorrectly loaded material. DPC Setup Manager provides a mechanism to catch misloads before they occur by controlling on-line product changeovers and material replenishment, as well as off-line feeder table preparation.
MVP Opens New European HQ

MVP are proud to announce the opening of their new European HQ on April 1st, 2004. The new, custom-built, 7000sqft facility in Dunfermline (Scotland) will house MVP’s European Sales, Support & Training and DPC (Dynamic Process Control) development. MVP has enjoyed a long history in Europe, originally beginning in Scotland, and increasing its reach throughout Scandinavia and Europe.
“We are committed to supporting our long time customers in the region,” states Dr. George Ayoub, President/CEO of MVP. “We have a large installed base in the U.K., Scandinavia and Europe, and will continue to support our customers with world class service and the latest in AOI and process control technology.
